  • US Ridership falls and the CPA Elections - EP 87
Between 2 Wheels Podcast: Cycling News, Commentary, and Analysis from NorCal; Host Tyler Janke, Curt Mills and Chris Flower; CyclingNews.
This week B2W does a break down of the recent USA survey regarding cycling commuters as the 2017 report is out.  (Report on 2017 American Community Survey Data - US Census Bureau Study).  Overall, ridership is down in the USA but not much.  While some cities are showing an improvement, cycling centric ones seem to have taken a step back.  Is it the weather or is spending becoming part of the problem.  Also, the professional riders association had its election for president in Austria and the outcome was as predicted.  B2W goes over the history of uninos in cycling, how the current CPA got started and some of the controversy that has arisen this year with voting and how the system is structured.

  • 2018 TDF | A Sunday in Hell Part Deux, Alpes and La Course - EP 80
Between 2 Wheels Podcast: Cycling News, Commentary, and Analysis from NorCal; Host Tyler Janke, Curt Mills and Chris Flower; CyclingNews.
Stages 8 & 9 of the 2018 Tour de France started boring and ended with one of the best days of racing we've seen in years.  Groenewegen is the new king of the sprint hill while Gaviria and Greipel got heady about their sprinting.  Stage 9 saw the riders hit the Hell of the North in July with panic felt throughout the field.  Who survived and at what cost?  Who lost time and who is out altogether.  We break down stages 8 & 9 on the tours first rest day.
Upcoming we start in the Alps with Stage 10 for the men while the women join in with La Course.  We preview them both.
