Deer Hunting continues through the week in northern Minnesota - did you get yer deer yet? We talked with local hunter Heather Hansen about her traditions and how she gets ready for the season.

As a kid, Erin Haefele spent every summer in Walker, MN. She loved it. And as she started a family of her own, she realized she wanted her own children, too, to experience Walker and all it has to offer. So she did what many a mom with a mission does...she planned for and embarked on said mission. Walker offered all the nostalgia she remembered - small town living, an active outdoor life, amazing gardens and accessible, up-north beauty, but something was missing... Today we remembered KAXE/KBXE contributing producer Milt Lee who died last week. Michael Goldberg gives his thoughts and we hear a portion of the last of the Call of The Wild series . Our condolences to his wife Jamie Lee and family. Arrangements are through the Cease Funeral Home of Bemidji, MN with services to be held in Cass Lake, MN at the Pike Bay Town hall on November 23 at 10:30. There will be a memorial service followed by a spaghetti lunch and an “open mic” sharing session after lunch.
