Lon Hodge and his dog Gander were back in our studios today getting ready for the opening reception tonight at the Reif Center Gallery for Grand Rapids artist Mary Corwin . Mary's exhibit is called Barnabas 22. The number 22 signifies how many veterans die by suicide in our country every day. Yes, every day. Mary has 22 portraits of service dogs of veterans on display. The opening reception will take place on Oct. 22 from 5 – 7 p.m and the exhibit runs until November 20 th .

This week Timberjay publisher Marshall Helmberger tells us about the former mayor of Tower, MN Josh Carlson plead guilty to engaging in official misconduct when he removed Timberjay publisher Marshall Helmberger from his position as president of the Tower Economic Development Authority in January 2018. But, in that court testimony he falsely accused Helmberger of not apprising the city government of grants for the TEDA. The county attorney will be looking into this as well... Also in Tower City
