As Jesus is bringing His Kingdom through His church, are you FOR what He is doing and wants to do, or AGAINST?

We are going to discover that following Jesus is not so much about completion and perfection, as it is about recognizing that we are always going to be a work in progress! And that’s okay because those are the types of people He calls to Himself!

Why does it seem like the primary purpose of so many people's lives is just to amass money, or to make it seem like they have lots of it? And why—no matter how much you have or don't have—does it seem like you never have enough of it?

We are wrapping up our Entrusted series by unpacking why money has such a seductive allure to it, and how we can live freely and fully over it.

Bob Lotich puts it like this in his book Simple Money, Rich Life, “We should stop defining financial success the way the world does: by how much we accumulate. As Christians, we should measure financial success not by what we accumulate, but by what we give.” This makes sense, doesn't it? After all, this life isn't all that there is, we can't take anything with us when we die, and everything is God's anyway!

Stewardship is another one of those “churchy” words. You know, one of those words that we hear often but maybe don’t fully understand its meaning. And, on top of that, what does

stewardship have to do with my relationship with Jesus? Think of it this way. Have you ever been asked to look after someone’s house

while they’re away? You go over, water the plants, cut lawn, pick up and sort the mail, maybe even tidy up because they left for the airport in a hurry. You go out of way to make sure that what has been entrusted to you remains safe and well cared for.

If someone were to ask you the question, "Who is your neighbour?", how would you answer it? What would you say? Who comes to mind? This week, we are going to unpack this question using a familiar passage in an unfamiliar way. I can't wait to open up the Scriptures with you!
