The Beverage Babes, have been feeling our fair share of heaviness for the world we are currently living in and yet, there seems to be an overwhelming piece of hope and joy we feel too because things are changing.  People are learning, speaking up and advocating. People are looking to try and see the best in others and figure out how we can help each other. The phrase, “we’re in this together,” has never had more powerful meaning.


That’s why we are so deeply excited about this next episode release. We gathered some of our dear friends, some of us white, some of us black to have an open and honest conversation about race. This group of women are voices to be heard, hearts to be felt and people to know and we can’t wait for all of you to know them too.


The most exciting part? This is just the beginning.


We will be embarking on a race series on The Beverage Babes where we will get to know the above guests in a deeper way, where we will ask the hard/uncomfortable/awkward questions and where we will allow you, our listeners, to learn alongside us as we step into the endless possibilities of what change can look like.

We know that life has looked different lately. It’s felt like an endless cycle of all kinds of emotions from excitement and refreshment to discouragement and exhaustion. This is a unique time we’re living in and our hearts can sometimes feel like they’re about to erupt.

Life looks different and in that difference, there’s an element of loss. Loss of security, loss of normalcy, loss of routine, loss of graduations, weddings, and other events and for some, loss of life. It can often feel foreign to try and process the emotions attached to this loss and for some of us, we don’t even know what it is.

Enter grief.

Grief is hard to understand and often harder to talk about as it comes with stigma and discomfort. But, that’s exactly what we will be discussing during this next episode. We will be speaking with Naila Francis; a writer, interfaith minister and marriage officiant who recently started her own business, “This Hallowed Wilderness,” where she is a grief coach and death midwife.

This conversation is filled with beauty surrounding the understanding, expression and support of grief and we know that you’ll leave the conversation with new insight and new space to feel confident around the concept of grief.

We know right now can feel like a mean prank that just keeps going and going and going. However, we babes have been so encouraged about all that has been happening during this time of quarantine personally and in the world around us. Good things are happening.

This episode is an example of that and we’re super excited for you to hear it. It’s a personal one for Sarah as she went through a whole season of PAUSE with her business even before this virus hit and she’s sharing with you some of the things she’s learned during that time and where to go from here.

She learned a lot. She learned things she’s good at and things that are just simply hard for her and she’s hoping that by sharing some of her experience, you (whether a mom, working at home, working in corporate America, staying at home with your kids, chasing dreams or just being you) leave this conversation encouraged to be exactly who YOU are!

This new episode makes me happy because we get to hear from our very own babe, Laura. She is one of my favorite people and I'm so excited for you to hear her heart on the topic of being secure in singleness. 

Being single may technically be a marital status, but Laura will share so much more depth about her journey in thriving while being single. This wasn't always the case for her and through an honest conversation, you will hear her thoughts, process, pain and celebration of the single life she is living now. 

And attention non-single ladies. This episode is so good and you don't want to miss it, simply because you are no longer single. You were once and some of your people still might be and this conversation offers such valuable and practical encouragement for all women.

We are certainly living through a unique time in history, that’s for sure. It can be scary, overwhelming, lonely, discouraging, sad and disappointing. We are so excited to introduce you to our very first podcast guest. She’s kind of the best and we’re so pumped for you to know her more.

Babes, meet Trish.

Though her given name is Trish, we all know her as Mama G and this is kind of what she’s all about; momming. She is a mom at heart to all of those around her and knows it’s simply because this is part of God’s design for her.

Everywhere she goes someone, somewhere calls her Mama and this can only be attributed to what they see and feel—her heart and passion for caring.

As a wife, she has been married for 48 years to her “Hubby Grubby,” Pastor Jack Groblewski (hence the “G” at the end of Mamma). In those 48 years, she has raised four wonderful children and has 10 beautiful grandchildren who cannot wait to get to “Emmy’s” house because there is

always candy and a present on their pillow.

I mean, come on! Who else wants to visit “Emmy’s house?” (Raises hands)…

While being very active and involved in her church, she also works full time as a Mammography technologist, which she has done for the last 25 years. She’s noted that even at work, she’s been called Mama and so we couldn’t think of anyone else better to be our first guest than the one and only; Mama G.

During our conversation, she shares her heart, wisdom and encouragement in a truly honest and refreshing way. Even if you’re not an official mom yet, tune in because this episode is so jammed packed with goodness, you don’t want to miss it.
