The Juneteenth National Independence Day Act would grant every federal employee a day off to commemorate June 19, 1865, the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, discovered President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation freed enslaved African Americans in rebel states 2½ years earlier. The day is also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day. It's a act not a law

The genetic code is the universal language of life. It describes how information is encoded in the genetic material and is the same for all organisms from simple bacteria to animals to humans.  All information about living organisms is stored in their genes. Genes, for example, encode our height, eye color or predisposition for different diseases. For the cell to be able to read the information contained in genes, each of them is first carbon-copied into a so-called messenger RNA (mRNA), whose content is then translated to make proteins, biology's workhorse

Lyrics:

History knows that when you came to be

You were the reason so many are free

Standing for justice and singing out loud

Screaming for freedom, you're Black and you're proud

Harriett Tubman, Barbara Jordan, Rosa Parks

They were all Sapphires

Eddie Rodiguez talks about his days with Tito Puente. Spotlight on Tito’s last recording the Grammy winning Masterpiece album Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri.

21st Anniversary Monday May 31st of the passing of the King of Latin Music Tito (tea toe) Puente (poo Ent Tay)

I worked on his last recording project. World tour was in the works plus symphonic Latin Jazz

The news of his passing changed my life forever.

Daily calls from talent buyers (25 per day) journalists included and promotions for months hundreds upon his passing then the phone went silent.
