Community is defined as a group of people living in the same locality and under the same government.  We are all citizens of Heaven and governed by God - so why does our community look so different?  Join us as Allen and I talk about the difference in community.

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members,[a] and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[b] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

In this episode, Allen and I discuss our upcoming Discipleship Course and two topics/modules, Creation and Sin.  It begins on 01/11/2022.

*In this episode, Allen states that Adam was created in God's image - that we weren't.  He clarifies this by saying, Adam and Eve were created in the image of God - man/mankind has fallen away from God because of their sin nature.  At the time that Adam and Eve were created, they were created in the image of God.  God is sinless.  Allen was simply saying that sin and sin nature is not the image of God.  Our desire is that no one would be discouraged by our words, we hope this is clear in our attempt to explain things on our podcast.

If you are interesting in taking the course - yes, there is still time.  Complete the following steps....

It's the end of 2021 and we are going to try our best and put out an episode that encompasses what our podcast is all about.  It's the end of the year but not the end of our show.

In the beginning of our podcast and our goal was to make Christianity easier to understand, make it relatable and to be relative.  We wanted an encouraging way to share what God has done in both of us.

Life can be a complete mess, unless you truly have faith in God.  No matter how big the mess, nothing is too big for God.

We pray that you will enjoy this episode as well as the new year.

God Bless.

Romans 12:2

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

In this episode, Allen and I talk about what "transformed by the renewing of your mind".  It's vitally important to look at the context of the Bible when reading verses, chapters and books within it.  So many people take scripture out of context, or sadly, they don't even look at the context in which it was written.  Take the time to pray over what you are reading, listen to the Holy Spirit and look at the context in God's word.

We have a lot of fun making these episode and we pray that you enjoy listening to them as well.  Thanks for tuning in.

Previously we talked about being unequally yoked - in this episode, Allen and I talk about what a yoke is, what it means in the Bible and what Jesus can bring us when we feel burdened.

The Greek word for yoke is zygos.

Great article on the use of yoke in the Bible from our favorite resource.

Are you a light or merely a vessel (candlestick)?

In this episode, Allen and I talk about what it means to be the light.  We are called to shine brightly so that others can Christ in us.

Allen brought up some professional football players who play/ed for the Detroit Lions.  Their names are;

Dan Orlovsky, Jon Kitna, Josh McCown

The presence of light means a void of darkness.

Matthew 5:14-16

Luke 11:33

John 1:7-9
