Autonomy or Authority - August 16, 2020

Are we going to choose autonomy, do what we want, and hope it all works out?

What is the motivation for your relationships? 

 

Once you have a relationship with Jesus - once you realize he wants to know you, and have a relationship with you, it will stop you in your tracks. It will change everything about you, and make you a new person.

 

It will move you from one who takes, to one who gives.

There is none good but God. 

What does that mean for us? How much greater can we be with God, the only true and perfect good, working through us?

There’s no excuse whatsoever to not give yourself completely to the Kingdom of God.

How Do You Stand Before God? - June 21, 2020

Luke 18: 1-14

The way we make a difference, the way we display hope and love and a better way, is to remember how God views us - to remember his love and grace and mercy for us - and to understand that standing humble before God is the key - standing before God with an attitude of thankfulness and gratitude for what he’s done for us. 

How do you stand before God? As one waiting on something you feel you deserve? Or as one begging and pleading for mercy because of how you’ve messed up?

It starts when we realize what we’re about.

Stand humble.
