In today’s message, “The Table in the Middle of Trouble,” Pastor Matt takes us into the rich promise of Psalm 23 and reminds us that God’s goodness is not postponed by our problems—He prepares a table right in the middle of the valley.
We often carry the weight of trying to hold life together: planning, fixing, organizing, preparing. But Scripture shows us that the table of blessing is not our responsibility—God Himself prepares it. Before we even know what we need, He has already made provision. Like Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet, we are invited to stop striving and simply come to the table.
Pastor Matt also reveals that God places this table in the presence of our enemies. Some of the greatest revelations of God’s faithfulness are found right in the midst of pressure, uncertainty, or opposition. Just like Daniel surrounded by lions, the valley becomes the backdrop where God’s protection, presence, and power are put on display.
And not only does God provide—He provides more than enough. Strength for weakness, peace for anxiety, joy for the hurting heart, clarity in confusion… and a cup that runs over. The enemy may intimidate, but he cannot interfere with what God prepares for His children.
This message is a powerful reminder that your circumstances do not limit your Shepherd. Even when life feels chaotic, God steps into the middle of the storm and works on your behalf. Your table is already prepared.
