Halfway through, it might look messy—smudges of color and shapes that don't quite connect yet. But the artist knows exactly what it's becoming. That's how God works in you. The areas where you feel most unfinished may be precisely where He's doing His most beautiful work. Your character, heart, and faith are being refined, even when progress feels slow.

The promise that God works all things together for good is beautiful on paper, but how do we hold onto it when life falls apart? Today's meditation dives deep into Romans 8:28, one of scripture's most beloved yet challenging promises.

We often define "good" as comfortable, convenient, or pleasant. But God's definition runs much deeper—anything that draws us closer to Him and shapes us into who we were created to be. This shift in perspective changes everything. Just as Joseph could eventually look at his brothers who sold him into slavery and say "what you intended for evil, God used for good," we too can develop this divine viewpoint on our difficulties.

The promise doesn't just apply to some things—it covers all things. Your unexpected diagnosis. The relationship that didn't work out. The lingering grief. The unanswered prayer. God's sovereignty extends beyond Sunday services into hospital rooms, traffic jams, and tear-stained pillows. Nothing is wasted in His economy, not even the pain.

Think of your life as a tapestry. Right now, you might only see the tangled threads and knots on the backside, but God sees the masterpiece taking shape on the front. He's weaving every thread—the bright and the dark—into something meaningful, purposeful, and ultimately good. Not because the struggles themselves are good, but because He is good, and His purposes prevail even in our most broken places.
