Join me and my co-host, Michael Martinez of Cascadia FC, as we discuss the last remaining second group Stage Matches before we get to the simultaneous matches for the next four days. We will review England Vs. Ghana, Portugal Vs. Uzbekistan, Panama Vs. Croatia, and Colombia Vs. Congo DR
Because Switzerland have won their group and advanced to the knockout stages of this FIFA World Cup I get to keep and cite my favourite statistic in the international game which you will hear in this video!
England has been here before. Tough Group Stage matches that then lead to inquests followed by a deep run into the knock out stage. So here we go again, this time with Thomas Tuchel at the helm. That and VAR is getting more terrible as time goes on.
My focus is on two teams:
* One been a disappointment.
* The other has been a revelation.
Since Croatia beat Ukraine in the decisive qualifier in 2017, I have been saying Zlatko Dalić is the most influential manager I see at the international level in making tactical changes in match. Club managers are very good at that but international managers generally not so much. He did it again today as both halftime substitutes made the difference against a very strong Panamanian effort.
Another Matchday review show for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as we are discussing the 12th day of World Cup Football. We saw history made by Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe is trailing him, Norway looks solid, and Algeria keeps itself alive.
Reviewing these matches Argentina Vs. Austria, France Vs. Iraq, Norway Vs. Senegal, and Jordan Vs. Algeria
Once again England’s second match of a group stage of a major tournament, whether it’s the FIFA World Cup or the UEFA Euro looks frustratingly poor and ends 0-0.

Let’s break down the biggest rule shifts and what we learned from finally hearing what the referees are actually saying.
Andy Burnham is destined to be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. His policial career is tied DIRECTLY to his rhetoric and actions around the 20th Anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster.
I want to note something - this is a POLITICALLY CHARGED issue and video. I am trying to be as down-the-middle here as possible though I do express my low opinions of Tony Blair and The Sun coverage of Hillsborough pretty clearly. I am not looking to start a political debate here even though I freely acknowledge I like and respect both Simon Heffer and Boris Johnson on the right (well Johnson is on the right today, as he was on the left yesterday and in the middle the day before :)) as well as Andy Burnham of the soft/squishy left. My own policy and societal views are not being imposed in this video and I don’t want the comments to reflect anything but commentary on this specific matter discussed. Thanks!
