We live in the days of instant gratification and highly manicured lives. The life portrayed by those we look up to, and aspire to be like, is viewed through a rose-colored lens. This leads to feelings of inadequacy, insignificance and insecurities.
I was no different. I had insecurities that I brought into my marriage, my military career, and I eventually found myself at a fork in the road. Do I continue down the destructive path I was on? Or do I make some changes and reinvent my life?
I found myself speeding towards an 18-wheeler on my Harley Davidson when I decided to make a change. I decided I didn't want my life to end like that, so I made some serious changes to every aspect of my life. This was my turning point.
