Listen to this weeks Compass Worship teaching on Psalms 62. This week we learned from the words and life of David the the only place we can truly find rest (quietness, peace) for our souls is in God. We were challenged to not just think of God as able to be someone else's salvation ,rock, fortress, hope and refuge but to believe He is that for ourselves. When we do that we can begin to trust that He alone is able to hold us up through any of life's circumstances.

Listen to this weeks Compass Worship teaching on Psalms 32. This week we were reminded that we serve a God who longs to forgive us. We saw that when David finally stops hiding his sin, confessed (agreed with God about what He had done) that what he found was forgiveness. He encountered our God who wants him to be free from the burden of sin. Instead of anger he finds love. Instead of guilt and shame he finds rest. Instead of more destruction he finds deliverance. We can find the same thing through a surrendered life to Jesus Christ.

Finally we see a humble response to these truths as David recognizes his insufficiencies and pleas with God to keep sin from having mastery over him and for help in lining up all of his words, actions and thoughts on all things true.
