Traditional surveillance systems are largely reactive—they record an incident and provide footage to investigate what happened afterward. Evolon takes a different approach by combining long-range object detection, AI verification, edge processing, and professional live monitoring to identify potential threats and initiate a response while an event is still happening.

We break down the complete process from detection to dispatch, including how Evolon uses AI to distinguish people and vehicles from animals, weather, lighting changes, and other common sources of false alarms. We also examine adjustable AI confidence thresholds, long-range detection, edge versus cloud processing, bandwidth limitations, compatibility with existing camera systems, and how analytics can be tuned to the conditions of an individual camera and site.
