Steve & Tammy discuss what "Beyond the Pale" is all about.

Beyond the Pale is a subversive, yet sincere, exploration of God, faith, church, and culture hosted by former pastors and missionaries Steve & Tammy Hackman.  It's a podcast for that person wonders about  God while often also wondering why their favorite moment of a Sunday service is when it's finally over.  Join us each week as we journey on a pilgrimage of life together.  We'll ask questions, question answers, and open a bottle of wine with you as we do.  (Not a particularly good wine mind you, just one Tammy says we can afford)

Host Alex Kane looks beyond the headlines and stereotypes of Jewish settlers in the Occupied West Bank in conversation with doctoral candidate in Anthropology, at the University of California Berkeley, Callie Maidhof. Maidhof recently lived in a settlement for 10 months and, while the gun-toting, religious/nationalist ideological settler does exist, the majority of settlers see themselves as apolitical and are seeking a suburban middle-class lifestyle. The broadcast ends with Maidhof's interview with Ariel settler Orit Arfa, whose YouTube videos "Jews Can't Stop" and "Gaza Wrecking Ball" went viral.
