Beyond the Walls with Jeremy Thomas episodes

  • NT Framework - The Reality of the Holy Spirit

He is just as real as you and me, in fact so much more so than we can comprehend. He exists in all dimensions, all times, all places and is simultaneously outside all of these because He created all these. You may feel like you are beyond His reach, but that is a lie for He is always as close as a prayer for help.

  • NT Framework - Can't Possibly Get Away

There is no possible way to get away, and I'm not talking about one of those bad dreams where you can't escape someone chasing you. This inability to get away is actually a comforting fact.

  • NT Framework - The Real God (no fakery here)

How do we know the Holy Spirit is God in truth and completeness? One way to know is when the Bible itself substitutes the Holy Spirit for an action attributed to the Father elsewhere.

  • NT Framework - A Real Person (not a force)

We hear people talk about the Spirit as a force, an influence, or a vague spiritual energy, and we get why that happens. The Greek word pneuma is a neuter noun, and some take that grammar to mean the Spirit must be impersonal. But that is poor hermeneutics to believe so.

  • NT Framework - Republic Government starts with the Trinity

I'm so glad that the Founding Fathers of these United States were not Jehovah's Witnesses. Why? Because they refute the fact that the Holy Spirit is God, and without a solid understanding of the Trinity, three persons in one perfectly unified and equal in nature and power, the Founding Fathers would not have developed our form of government keeping a balance of power and we could easily have become like Russia.

  • NT Framework - It Matters One Iota

The smallest letter of the Greek alphabet makes the Son and the Holy Spirit the same as the Father. And this distinction, fully developed by the western church, gave rise to the political freedom we enjoy in the west and particularly in the USA.

  • NT Framework - Jesus is not a created being

Begotten does not equal being born. It is not about being conceived. It is much closer to holiness than physical birth.

  • NT Framework - Love needs an object to Love

Only the God of the Bible is able to be eternally loving because He is the only god to forever have someone to love, even before He created anything or anyone.

  • NT Framework - A Distinct Person, yet fully God

The Holy Spirit never draws attention to Himself, instead always pointing to either the Father or the Son, which is why we know so little about Him. And yet He has been revealed since the very founding of this creation in Genesis.

  • NT Framework - Subordinate in Roles, just like a husband and wife

A man and a woman are of the same essence and of the same value, even though they have different roles, this is seen clearly in marriage even as the world tries to hide this truth with all of its bold declarations to the contrary.
