South Jersey’s rising force in extreme metal, Chronepsis , has just dropped their debut EP, Weight of Eternity — a blistering, blood-soaked offering of melodic technical death metal that is equal parts chaos and precision.

Formed in 2023, Chronepsis has quickly carved a name for themselves with a sound that merges the brutality of guttural vocals , ground-shaking bass , and scorching technical riffs with razor-sharp precision and dark emotional depth. Their debut EP captures the essence of despair, fury, and manic intensity—balancing melodic intricacy with unrelenting aggression.

“ Weight of Eternity is our first statement to the world,” says the band. “This is everything we are. Organized chaos, technicality, intensity, and a deep dive into the darkest corners of the human mind.”

The EP was written, recorded, and produced entirely by the band , showcasing their DIY ethos and uncompromising vision. It was mixed and mastered by Erik Johnson at Dark Prophet Audio , with album artwork and logo design handled by vocalist Chris Curtis .

BIO: Salvador Litvak, author of Let My People Laugh: Greatest Jewish Jokes of All Time!, was born in Santiago, Chile, and moved to New York at age five. He is a graduate of Harvard College, NYU Law School, and the School of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA. Litvak wrote, produced, and directed Saving Lincoln, the true story of Abraham Lincoln leading the nation through the Civil War, as recounted by his close friend & bodyguard, U.S. Marshal Ward Hill Lamon. The film was made by capturing the actors’ performances on a green screen stage and creating all sets and locations out of vintage Civil War photographs from the Library of Congress. Litvak named this visual style CineCollage. His first film was the Passover comedy and cult hit When Do We Eat? Litvak wrote both films with his wife, Nina Davidovich Litvak.
