When Bianka was 13 years old, she was hidden away for two years by a Christian couple as the Nazi's tried to eliminate every single Jew. When this couple went to work, Bianka was left completely alone and unable to go outside the tiny apartment - all day everyday for two years. Her mother would visit once a week to bring books for her to study by herself. Eventually, everyone she knew, including her parents, were killed.
