We are prone to feast on things not good for us due to the sin nature within. ----God planted a garden in Eden. In it, He placed Adam. Adam was allowed to eat from any tree except one. Why the test-----God wanted Adam -and eventually Eve- to obey Him freely, from the heart. The tree of knowledge of good and evil was planted to test man's heart.----We are to run from evil. Wisdom to avoid evil comes when we trust God and lean on Him in all things.

What choices have you made to show that you're a Christian- The difference between spiritual luxury and spiritual poverty is if we believe that God never fails.----Abraham deferred to Lot. Why- Giving the best choice is always a test of our heart. Faith holds onto God who has promised us blessings on this earth and the next life. ----Give to others. Defer to others.

Pastor Regier discusses nine Old Testament foundations that make the Bible come to life.----All Scripture is given by inspiration from God. We learn from it and grow because of it.----Too many Christians have been simply nibbling at the feast of the whole Bible. God wants us to be a balanced Christian. Don't ignore the Old Testament.

This is the Lord's call to disciples to pray, to give, and to go. All true disciples of Jesus must be about the Lord's business of introducing unsaved people to Him. That is our calling.

Giving is tied to the examination of our own hearts. Pastor Regier exams the story of the rich young ruler and what has been called the -great refusal- by the young man.

In 1 Kings 10, we learn about the high cost of imitation, or hypocrisy. While King Solomon created items with pure gold, his son Rehoboam created items that were of lesser value, made of bronze.----The original items had been taken by an enemy and instead of simply letting the people of Israel feel shame for that because of their failure to trust in God, Rehoboam supplied them with cheap imitations, possibly thinking that when the guards marched, no one would notice the difference in the bright sunlight-----What took place between King Solomon's prayer of commitment to God and his son's failure to live up to that commitment where God was concerned-----Rehoboam succumbed to the temptation to take the easiest road because of politics.----The same temptation exists for us today where we have the choice of confessing our sin before God, trusting Him for the strength to do what is right, or giving into cultural demands.

Peter's sermon from Acts 2 challenges us regarding missions and taking the gospel to the world.----Pray-Give-Go. It is eseential that all Christians pray not only that we will be good missionaries wherever we are, but for those specifrically called to be missionaries in foreign lands, as God, through them, reaches out to the lost with His grace, hopefully leading to their salvation.----This should be the mindset for each and every Christian.

The goal of forgiveness is restoration. Forgiveness literally means to put to death all grievances, to let something go snf paves the way to reconciliation whenever possible.----Reconciliation is earned while forgiveness is granted. Reconciliation means to rebuild trust in relationships.
