Peter was convinced he would never deny or forsake the Lord. He failed, but the Lord brought him back. His arrogance got the best of him and that can happen to any Christian. We must be on our guard to ensure that our love, devotion, and loyalty to our Lord rests on a solid foundation devoid of hubris.

Submitting to God is what every Christian needs to excel in. By doing so, we resist the devil at the same time. Sometimes, easier said than done, but nonetheless, that is, or should be, our objective.

Paul told Titus to build churches on the island of Crete. He was to find men who lived like they preached. They were to know and practice sound doctrine.----Christian, we must practice our faith.

In an evil society, Paul taught Titus to approve sound men, teach sound doctrine, and practice sound living.----This should be the goal of all Christians.
