This is the second part of our slavery in the bible study we have been going through.

The scripture given to us about slavery in the New Testament is in a way different context than the Old Testament. The Old Testament contains passages that give regulations and rules to protect the rights of the slaves and to govern the people while alot of the New Testament is focusing on speaking to the slaves who are under another country's rules and regulations so the Bible gives instructions on how to honor God under slavery and more!

Slavery is evil right? So why does God add regulations for slave owners in the Old Testament? Let’s take a look at the text together to understand what's going on here. Next episode we will examine the New Testament.
