Tim and Mary take a look at the news cycle once again, and while it generally resembles all the news cycles, one thing we can count on is that in Jesus, His mercies are new every morning; this can never be true in the world. He is the faithful one, and no matter how tiresome this world becomes, the one thing God says we need is His mercy, not more dark news about man’s inhumanity to man. So we start there, and then try and make sense of this divisive, judgment ready world. Today we look at the continued blame for everything on white men who love Jesus;  Mike Huckabee’s attempt to reason with Tucker; and the world marching to the beat of Antichrist, especially in Europe where the spirit of the AC has preceded him. As interesting as it all is, and helpful to watch the times, Lamentations 3:22-26 says it all:  “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” (NKJV)

Pete Garcia and Mary Danielsen discuss the role of the watchman in the church [Original airdate: 10/20/23]; a lonely role that causes bible prophecy to be marginalized despite every sign in the world that it is on God’s front burner.  Our worldview, which includes the imminent return of Christ, must not cave to biblical illiteracy for the sake of comfort or denial or any kind of theology that teaches that Jesus cannot return until the world has cleaned up all the messes it has made. Translation: “never” – because there is no indication that mankind is going to turn the corner on the darkness that has gripped the planet.  And regarding Israel, it’s truly a spiritual battle and one that humans are all too willing to take sides on – and be wrong at the top of their lungs. Today is a special teaching from host Dave Wager. He slows down the Christmas story and reads Luke 2:1–21, letting the details land, Caesar’s decree, Joseph and Mary’s trip to Bethlehem, the manger, the angel’s announcement, the sky filled with praise, and the shepherds rushing in to see what God had made known. From there, Dave brings in reflections from V. Raymond Edmond’s 1960 book Wiser Than They Thought, using imagined conversations and scenes to help us picture what it may have felt like for real people to be standing in the middle of something they could not fully explain. The shepherds are shown as working a routine night shift when heaven interrupts it, and Dave uses that to challenge listeners to stop assuming God only works in “big moments.” He can move in the middle of the normal day, if we’re paying attention.

As the program continues, Dave connects the shepherds’ encounter to other “windows into eternity” in Scripture. He points to Luke 15, where Jesus says there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents, and he turns that into a simple, personal appeal: heaven is not bored, and your response to Christ matters. He also leans on Luke 16’s account of Lazarus and the rich man to underline the seriousness of eternity and the hope of being carried home by God’s provision, not by our own goodness. He returns again and again to the heart of Christmas: God does not need us, but He wants us, love invites a real choice, and salvation is a gift purchased by Jesus, the baby in the manger who became the man of the cross. The closing takeaway is clear, Christmas is not a seasonal story, it’s a fact that changes life now, and it calls each listener to respond to Christ with faith and obedience.

Mary takes some time today to focus on the end game, geopolitically – and at what point the world runs out of real estate to do a global build-out designed for the final rebellion against Jesus Christ at His coming. The image in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the metal man depicting the significant world powers that will succeed each other from Babylon to Rome, is one of the greatest, most astonishing prophecies the world has ever been privy to. The end of the matter tells us that in the days of those Roman Empire kings, the toes of the image, the revived Roman Empire – God will set up His everlasting kingdom. As joyous as that is to think about, the process involves going from Satan’s kingdom of man that has ruled for millennia, to the righteous Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is often depicted as the birth process, birth pangs – that increase in frequency and intensity. It also can be summed up this way: “expect turbulence”, and you frequent flyers will understand that. We look at how Satan even got this world as a prize, how he fell, why he was able to offer it to Jesus – and maybe why he has saved his most awful bag of tricks for this late hour. We also look at the importance of Genesis in interpreting Revelation. Most churches don’t pay any heed to their connection, but it is incredible to see all the events that begin in Genesis having their fulfillment in Revelation. As we are on the verge of a new year, let’s be found watching and waiting, and building up our knowledge and understanding of why things are the way they are.

Waking up to a weekend of violence, we have to not only ask ourselves why, but it makes us want to shout from the hilltops: “Enough! Stop it!” The average American does struggle with the lawlessness we witness in bundles sometimes, but we feel completely helpless to do anything about it. We look at why the evil is so ramped up. We also take a look at Europe and it’s unbelievable, unrelenting pursuit of a surveillance state. It makes us all wonder who exactly gave who permission to look at every chat and text their citizens send. Also, we have to examine the underpinnings of the Australian Hanukkah rampage and discuss what Hanukkah actually is. The signs were all there, but just like October 7, there wasn’t enough time or energy to take any of it seriously. How dark will it get before the True Light returns for His people?

Today’s system that seems to be held together with duct tape reminds me of the children’s nursery rhyme that says, “when the bough breaks…” – and then spells out the end quite clearly. Considering that the economy now global impacts us all on earth, what might 2025 bring? The last couple years have seen threats of bank closures and the cancelling of accounts of those the globalists don’t like, namely, conservatives and Christians. Alarming enough, but there is so much more going on, in particular the over-valuation of the stock market. We will rely on Britt to help us sort that out, along with the real estate market, Asian economics and their stock markets, and how AI will affect the economy in the next several years. According to the IMF, AI is a game changer for labor in particular, but also how considerable funds will be poured into the global markets from everything tech. A complex subject made easier by Britt Gillette, because while most of us rely on our pocketbook to tell us things have gone haywire, we can also rely on people with his expertise to help us dig deeper. Mary welcomes back Pastor Andy Woods to talk about some of the more significant stories in late November. We look at this week’s Climate ConJob – rather, “Confab” – and who is actually running the show these days. While the agenda never changes, and they keep trying to pull the wool over our sheeple eyes, there is no denying that many in the world today are getting pretty weary of this sales pitch. Next on our list is the Judeo/Christian worldview and lifestyle that Americans have always enjoyed, and what has happened to obliterate it in one generation. Immigration, ideologies like Communism, Marxism, Progressivism and Islam have taken a huge toll on our freedoms and our prosperity, not to mention endless attacks on men, women and children who have to be open to being something other than how God created them. Now what? Plurality goes off the rails spiritually when a Hindu temple is erecting a 90 foot statue of a Hindu God down in Texas, still a state of the union last I heard. It’s going down so fast it seems. Then we discuss some freedoms of speech and religion that are also going the way of the phone booth – only with greatly significant consequences. Suppose God is removing His hand of protection from idolatrous Americans? Although we are not a Christian nation under the banner of salvation, we have held high the freedom, morals, and good neighborliness that love requires for our entire existence. A great hour with a superb teacher of the Scriptures, and a watchman.

Paul tells the Ephesians to walk in such a way that wisdom marks our path. He then says to redeem our time, for the “days are evil”. If they were evil then, we know that we know they are evil now. In fact, the days of Noah were evil plus – and so shall our days be. So what are we watching this week? It will be different tomorrow probably, and next week as well. We went from weekly newspapers in large cities back in the 19th century, to daily in the last century, to non-stop today and newspapers are not even read anymore. In light of all of this, we talk about redeeming the time in a very encouraging article to start us out. Then we talk about the uniqueness of Israel – but in a way you may not have thought of because God is sovereign over ALL nations (Acts 17).  More headlines – Big Food wants us all to be vegans, and they can prove it. A hurricane update and just how the fake media is paying richly for their censorship and lies, which has touched every life at some point. Evil days – bright future. Hold fast!

What exactly is being agreed to, within the framework of Israel’s enemies who are still Israel’s enemies? Time will tell, and prophecy will be the loudest voice. Meanwhile, Islam, which is usually the loudest voice in this age, continues it’s creep around our nation to bite and devour any civilization that will open the gate to them. The Pentagon has approved Qatari presence at an air base in Idaho, and many are suggesting that this is a tremendous breach in national security. What could possibly go wrong? We discuss the Ai Stargate project, whose name is suggestive of something supernatural. No one discusses the spiritual aspect of all this, but eventually that, too, will be revealed. Government shutdowns, antisemitism, lawlessness are all making headlines right now, and all worth watching.
