Paul opens his Epistle to the Romans by establishing his theme that the Gospel is the Power of God for salvation to everyone that chooses to believe. To confirm his theme he cites Habakkuk "But the righteous shall live by faith." Paul outlines many of the fallenΒ (sinful) conditions that existed in the Gentile world at that time, and still do today, even though God has revealed himself in many ways. He states how God has abandoned those that choose not to believe, and let them live a life of sinful practices including not only homosexuality (Yes homosexuality is absolutely a sin.. if you attend a church that believes otherwise, leave now! For you are not being taught the truth), but a very long list of other sins that Paul provides. Paul states that those who sin are deserving of death:Β "They know Godβs decree, that those who practice such things deserve to dieβyet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them."
