• Understand the consequence
• Be faithful to your own wife

Proverbs 4:11-27

• Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.
• Keep off the path of the wicked
• Pay attention to God’s words
• Carefully consider the path for your life and what you really want
• Those who are serious about their walk with Jesus TAKE ACTION!

 REASONS NOT TO DESPISE DISCIPLINE

• The Lord discipline is an expression of His love (3:11-12)
• Despising correction leads to regret (1:29-31, 5:11-14)
• Corrective discipline leads to life (6:23, 10:17, 15:10)
• The one who hate correction is stupid (12:1, 15:5)
• Correction leads to knowledge and wisdom (19:25, 29:15) 

• Listen to the God of the universe with respect and awe
• God is giving us an effective process to live by and will give us wisdom and discernment
• Constantly seek God’s wisdom and discernment if we ask Him (respond to his warning)
