Bible Unbound

Thanks so much for joining our conversation over here on the Bible Unbound Podcast! This week, we outline the ways in which Moses shows us how to be holy and that that holiness is unaccessible except by a priest. So we need a priest to give us access to the God of the universe.

In this episode, we leave the book of Genesis and move quickly to the book of Exodus! Moses will be in view for several episodes as he takes on one of the most crucial roles for understanding the Old Testament, the Bible, and the snake-crusher.

In this episode of Bible Unbound our sun sets on our time in the Genesis story but there are a few things we need to wrap up before we continue in our journey. Namely, the human beings have done nothing but mess everything up. Will God still love them? Can He continue to redeem their story? Genesis may have the answers.

In this episode we tackle a passage that has confounded people since people started trying to make sense of it! (really just since the Enlightenment) but it is a passage worth tackling: the flood story. It show cases a new aspect of the snake-crusher: namely his sense of justice.

In this episode, we take a look at the story of Cain and Abel down on through to Lamech No. 2. What do these characters tell us about what the world in which the biblical authors have set up for us? What do these characters tell us...about us? Like it or not, they show us what it means to be human.
