This week's podcast is titled; "Hook, line, and sinker." As we look at the book of James and talk about: temptation and sin. We must be aware the evil one is also a fisher of men. He will use any bait he can to tempt us with so; we will bite the hook and fall into sin.

Today's topic is: "the Cross." The Cross is a somewhat shameful topic within the church. The Cross is a symbol of suffering and shame. To a Jewish person living in the time of Christ, it was a curse. The fact remains the Cross is the central fixture of Christianity. Without the Cross, there would be no shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. There would be no atoning death. Without the Cross, mankind would have remained lost!

Judges chapter 14, we will find a lion and an elite warrior do battle. The man wins over the lion!

Humble is Jesus. Who is God in the flesh! Who was willing to come to this earth, be born of a virgin, live a life as a human being. He left His throne of glory to become flesh. To be our sin sacrifice on the cross! There are no words a person can express the greatness and the humility Christ has. We all need to thank Him for His humble servanthood.
