Biblical Truths from West Palm Beach church of Christ

So we are going to take a break for a couple weeks from the sermon series that we have been doing where have been learning about who God and who we are in the book of Genesis. We will return to this series soon. However, with so much going on in the world today, it […]

We noticed in the last lesson that hope surrounds the birth of Samuel. Hannah’s song speaks of hope in God who will reverse the condition of Israel, taking them from darkness to light, and from judgment to hope. The nation is wicked and there is need for a king who will rule in righteousness and […]

Our series, Who Is God and Who Are You, comes from the first 11 chapters of Genesis where God is revealing himself, explaining us, and telling us why the world is the way it is. Chapter 4 recorded the history of Cain and Abel, in particular, showing us that one of the reasons the world […]

God has revealed that they have false hearts that are not truly repentant, but merely say the words. Israel has corrupted themselves, reject God’s prophets, and […]

We have been examining God’s explanation as to why our lives are a mess. We noticed in the first lesson that our lives are a mess because we sin. We doubt God, believe the lies of the tempter, and we sin. Our sins cause deep messes in our lives. In our second lesson we learned […]

One of the blessings we have from the literary prophets is that God directly explains why judgment comes from God and what to do to receive the blessings of God. God is never unfair or arbitrary in his judgments. He explains why his judgments are reasonable and why judgments must come. He also explains what […]
