It’s increasingly difficult to stand firm for Christ amidst a culture that’s decidedly anti-Christian. But there’s something harder: standing for Christ while surrounded by people who claim His name. 

It’s easy to feel alone. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and want to give up. Elijah did. In fact, he even asked God to end his life on earth. 

But Elijah wasn’t alone, and neither are we. As long as we have breath, God has a purpose for our lives. Sometimes, that means speaking truth into a culture openly hostile to Christ. Those aren't words we like to think about, but they're words Matt has had to wrestle with intimately over the last several months as he's battled cancer. Matt Furby (Mindi's father-in-law) has walked with the Lord for decades, but this diagnosis has put feet to his faith and changed his perspective.
