If you have ever had the reality of discovering how unqualified you are, or have had life throw you a curve ball so hard you are not sure you can continue to go, then this podcast is for you.  While we have all being resourced and ‘dna’ed’ by God to be the best of us, how we see ourselves and who we allow to speak over us can determine our quality of success or lack therefore.

At a time when we are in the middle a curve ball situation and wondering how we will rise or if we will rise, it is extremely important to take a few steps back and re-calibrate. In an uncertain world full of terrible circumstances, the man of purpose cannot afford to fold up and die.  Not being qualified is no longer news, it seems to me that God specialises in the use of unqualified people.

Even when pain and loss colour the landscape of our lives, we have no excuse but to rise from the ashes and keep it going.  Mastery is an ability to finish the race and finish it within reason. 

Therefore, regardless of what we face, it is time to Rise again, and keep it going.

You will make it NeverTheLess.

We are all resourced in our DNA to succeed.  However, it requires a personal optimisation of those resources to arrive at the results we want.  One way to optimise your life for success is to deploy the Law Of Important Things.  Know when to hold on and know when to fold them.

Life is full of pressures; there is so much we are expected to do – from the daily hustle and bustle of living to the constant demand of family, academics, business and relationships. How then do we achieve our goals and fulfil our dreams?  One key is to know those things that only you can do in moving your dream forward and if you want to go far you need to focus on them.

When God created us, He gave us free moral agency which is captured in our will and interpreted by the choices and decisions we make.  Despite God's call on his life and his parent's efforts to ensure that they did their best to prepare him for this call and it's fulfillment, Samson's choices and lack of discipline and power of will made it almost impossible for him to achieve all that he had been equipped and called to do.

Sometimes we take ownership and pledge to be good stewards of our dream and purpose yet, find in the end that we don’t do much with the dream.  What could be responsible for this state of lethargy?  How is it even possible that one discovers and takes ownership of a dream and yet isn’t able to deliver on it?  Between our creative genius and productivity is usually a gap that we cross using the bridge of Willpower. Now that you have discovered why you are on earth are you progressing and achieving the results you had hoped?  If not, what might be the problem?  Between when a dream is discovered and achieved is the phase where you OWN your dream. At this point, the dream no longer is something you work in or at.  It becomes an extension of you. 

Beyond ownership is the issue of Stewardship when you realise that every thing you have been given is an investment and not only is profit required but accountability too.

The proof of ownership at it's highest is production, the proof of stewardship at it's highest is accountability.  Are you producing? If you are, are you accountable?

Quite a number of people are pushing dreams that are not original to them, therefore they get really frustrated. We must realise that even though God gives us dreams, their fulfilment only depend on our working it out.  Every dream takes both a sense of ownership and stewardship to birth. It is not enough for us to have a dream, we must also take responsibility for it and understand that we are accountable to the One who put the dream inside of us – God.

Is your dream original to you? Have you taken ownership of it? Do you have the commitment required to birth it? Do you also realise that you are accountable to someone greater than you for it?

Are you of the school of thought that some of us are more opportune than others?  Do you see life as pre-ordained or something that we live by chance?

Most of us have heard about Olajumoke Orisaguna; the bread hawker turned Model and Dr Innocent Chukwuma, the Managing Director of Innoson Group of Companies, manufacturers of the IVM brand of vehicles.

What can we learn from their stories, how can we lead ourselves into our own places of success using their stories.  If I had the opportunity to sit with Ms Olajumoke today, what will I say to her and by extension you?

To be able to deliver at the best level of our lives, one of the things we must seek to know is God’s original intent for us. What was God thinking when He was forming you? Even though we may chance upon success once in a while, most people who make it to destiny or fulfill God’s mandate for their lives are those who discover their original intent and deliberately go after it.

God is our Creator and he has a manual for why he’s created each and everyone of us. He’s given everyone equal opportunities, depending on what He’s called us to be and do. We may not have the same status, level of education or background, but we’ve been gifted with something in our individual DNAs that will help us actualise God’s dream for us. (more…)
