How do you ensure that you stay on track concerning your goals?  What would you do if you suddenly realise at the end of this year that you have been pushing the wrong goal? 

Reflective Thinking, done consistently over time is very key for course correction that is sometimes required when we set goals.  It helps you see the big picture again and empowers you to ascertain if you are still on the right track.

Most importantly, Reflective Thinking is packed with the power that enables you to shut down a goal when it is not delivering on it's promise.  Most super achievers don't just set goals, they also schedule time on their calendars to reflect on their effectiveness.

Question:  When was the last time, you took time to conduct an audit on your goals

Now that your goal is set, do you know that if you don't find the strongest WHY, delivering on it might be harder?

Beyond setting the goal, we all need a little help along the way in ensuring that we deliver. First, is the need to stand and take responsibility for our WHY.  But beyond standing up to be counted is the key of submitting the goal to someone else who can keep us both inspired and accountable to WHY we started.

Are you accountable for your goals?  Who are you accountable to?

Success in goal setting doesn't end with setting the goals or even selecting a push goal.  Beyond that, there is the habit of consistency that a leader must imbibe and deploy to be ahead of the game.

Goal Setting is an art, and understanding the science behind it releases the impetus for all we want to achieve in 2016.  Do you want this to be the best year ever? Then try and Push Goal. 

Push Goals activate the strongest urge in us to achieve all that we have set.  Nehemiah's push goal was getting the King of Babylon to agree for him to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and as they say the rest is history.

Write your goals down and determine the most difficult whether in process or execution, give it your best shot and once you get that in the bag, I promise nothing will be able to stop you.

We have gone through yet another transition and even though some of us run calendar cycles different from January through December, we all can identify with the fact that this time of year makes us think and readjust where needed for the future.
