Partnerships relationships are result focused and oriented.  This is not necessarily a friendship or a relationship beyond the set goal.  However, if we pick our partners right and know how to leverage the relationship, what we set out to achieve can happen faster than if we tried to go it alone.

No man is able to go the alone on the journey to Purpose.  We have identified that the best group of people we ought to have are Confidants.  We have also established that Confidants can be scarce and rare.  So if you found one how should you transact and deal with them?

Confidants, if you are lucky to have five in your entire lifetime, you must know that you are blessed above most men.  Confidants may never even understand the details of your journey but they are your most committed cheerleaders and fans.

They will tell you the truth when they are alone with you but will stand with you regardless of what the heat is like.

This group of people are such a rare breed that when you find them, you must do all you can to ensure that you transact properly and do not make the relationship burdensome for them.

Here is to every Confidant you may know... may their own midwives come.

In this episode, we take a look at the category of people referred to as Comrades.  These ones show up when you are in a fight.  They are against what you are against.  They are not necessarily into you and are only interested in the fights you fight.  Because of how they are wired, once the fight is over, they are most likely to move on from your life.

Once you can discern the Comrades around you, you want to be careful what you share with them. As they thrive in fights it is not uncommon to find those who were in your camp yesterday joining forces today with others to fight against you.  Remember, the thrive on causes and fights.

Last week we started a series on how relationships impact on the journey to Destiny.  Our focus today is on the the first category of people we all have in our lives.  These are referred to as Constituents.  They like what you like and are into your mission; which is a great thing.  The only snag is they are not into you at all.

This podcast teaches how you recognise the Constituents and tells you how to deploy them to the advantage of your journey.

Every single one of us needs at least one other person who believes in us and is committed to act on that belief in contributing their quota to our success on the journey to Destiny.

My mother is the first of those relationships for me, she believed in me even before I could believe in myself.

Who believes in you?  More importantly, who do you believe in?  Have you told them you do?

Is Purpose synonymous with Destiny?  Or do they mean different things? Are they even related or are these just words contrived to make us even more confused on the journey to fulfillment? Please join me as we take a critical look at the words and we sort them out in our minds for good.

Yes, I meant inherited.  Sometimes from parents at other times from Mentors, Benefactors or even the rare case of Employers.  People have come upon the reason they were created just because they made it into the space of another's dream.

I find that rather than think that this negates the Purpose, it enhances your life on many levels.  First you no longer feel you don't have a place and secondly, the originator knows that their lifework is in the ordained hands... Purpose can be inherited, I am assured of this.

Making an important decision during a period of frustration is like driving a car backing the road, it is an accident going somewhere to happen.  On the journey to Purpose, one thing I am sure you will face many times is the frustration that comes with not knowing the next step.

I have learnt however, that when I find myself in that space, the smartest thing to do is to step back away from the grind and do nothing or if I have to do anything at all, do something that is not as heavy as what I was faced with.

Trust me, you want to first step away from that frustrating situation before you make a decision.

Most people never step into purpose because they are waiting for that one off thing that will come with a bang and they get it done, and boom! they are within purpose.

For some of us, it would really begin with such a bang, but for most of us, we have to inch slowly but surely; collecting one experience, one story, one involvement here and there to make the story that becomes our purpose.

The key is to do every single thing we have been given well, because those little and small acts actually do compound to become our one huge purpose.
