Earlier this week, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris announced new executive actions aimed at reducing gun violence, including measures to combat the growing threats of machine gun conversion devices and unserialized 3D-printed firearms. The executive order also calls for improving school-based active shooter drills to reduce trauma and better prepare students.

This initiative follows significant progress under the Biden-Harris administration, including a 17 percent drop in homicides and a 20 percent reduction in mass shootings this year.

Additionally, the president's plan directs federal agencies to assess and report on emerging firearms threats within 90 days.

The administration continues to push for further legislation, including universal background checks and an assault weapons ban, to address gun violence nationwide.
