In this week's episode we discuss what it means to be a "Leader" and what it means to hold "Accountability". The two words are fairly symbiotic, one cannot exist without the other, one cannot be an effective leader without first being held accountable, either by himself or the people he is leading.

There is no denying that there is a lack of leadership in our community, otherwise, we would have been in a much better position than we are in. I believe that is a common denominator amongst all minority communities, we need better leadership who are selfless and and effective. We have seen many a times, multiple positions of leadership become filled with people who are not leadership worthy, yet we give them a chance to lead and we somehow come up short. Where is the leadership programs that allow for these leaders to succeed? This is not in politics either, its in every organization, every council deals with factors that does not make the job of leadership easy.

Accountable Leader is what we need, Leaders who first and foremost hold themselves to the standard we want to live by as a community and mentor them into their untapped potential.

Having received some feedback from our previous podcast episode "Love Pain." We thought it might be warranted that we provide some context to the theme of that episode.

An extension from the conversation on loving pain, a person would need to learn to be at peace with all challenges and hardships that come with the journey of success.

Your perception and the outlook of how you look at your success journey will more than likely be the determinant of your outcome. You have control over your emotions, you have control over how you decide to react, so why would you give that power to an outside source to control how you feel?

In this episode, we discuss in length how you can perceive something in a good light as opposed to seeing it negatively.

Pain.

Pain of growth or the Pain of regret, you decide. We as human will never have a shortage of hard times and pain but it is your responsibility to find ways to be at peace with it.

You have to Love the Pain, because within that pain is where the growth happens, within that pain is where you learn to be cool, calm & collected.

My advice? Always look for the path with more suffering first to get a taste of what it feels like. Go for the hardest things to do, they build character and give you the wherewithal to be at peace when everything in life is not going your way.
