This is the week!
The biggest fight week of the year (probably).
Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford face off on Saturday, live on Netflix. Crawford will look to become a three-division undisputed champion, while Canelo looks to further his legendary run. Dakota and the Big Dog talk about all the facts you should know about this fight.
The undercard will feature Callum Walsh vs Fernando Vargas Jr, Christian Mbilli vs Lester Martinez. Prelims that you should be aware of are Serhii Bohachuk-Brandon Adams II, Steven Nelson-Raiko Santana, and Jermaine Franklin-Ivan Dychko.
Also, we talk about Wednesday's fight card filled with talent I am not very familiar with. Match-ups that stand out to me are: flyweight Mikie Tallon versus Christian Robles, Cuban heavyweight Yoandy Toirac vs. Skylar Lacy, and super middleweight Bek Nurmaganbet vs. Steven Stumper. Stumper dropped Najee Lopez in a developmental fight.
On Thursday, WBO flyweight champion Anthony Olascuaga faces Juan Carlos Camacho in the main event. Justin Viloria, Jalil Hackett, and Jamar Talley are notables on this card.
Then at the end, we talk about the result of the week, which includes: Osleys Iglesias stopping Vladimir Shishkin to become the IBF interim super middleweight titleholder. Dakota rants about how available the fight was. Eduardo Nunez defeats Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz in a fringe fight-of-the-year bout. We reflect on this.
Pat McCormack won an unexciting bout, Troy Williamson upset Mark Dickinson after Dickinson missed weight by a lot, and Sandy Ryan returned to the win column. Also, Oscar Valdez won a hard-fought decision over Richard Medina.

a card was announced for the week of Canelo-Crawford headlined by Anthony Olascuaga vs. Juan Carlos Camacho, it will also feature Justin Viloria, Jalil Hackett, and Jamar Talley.
Then, we move to this week and the fight of the week happens on Thursday. Osleys Iglesias will face Vladimir Shishkin; what is at stake is a chance to fight the IBF super middleweight titleholder. A belt currently held by Canelo Alvarez, who faces Terence Crawford the following week. Also on the card, lightweight Dzmitry Asanau, junior welterweight Jhon Orobio, super middleweight Moreno Fendero, and Canadian Olympian Wyatt Sanford.
Olympian Michael Conlan returns on Friday...any thoughts on his comeback?
ProBox TV has a card on Friday featuring a solid main event with "Short Dog" Jordan White facing tough veteran Rene Tellez Giron. Can White go to the next level? The card is filled with 50-50 fights and developmental fights. Of the 50-50 fights to watch, Sulaiman Segawa vs. Bryan Acosta stands out. Segawa beat Ruben Villa and nearly beat Bruce Carrington. Acosta just had a close fight with Ramon Cardenas before he got the Naoya Inoue fight. Jonhatan Cardoso, a Brazilian fighter featured on many ProBox TV cards, will face Luis Torres Valenzuela, who just stopped an aging Nicholas Walters. The bout will see two solid punchers facing each other with hopes of becoming ranked higher in the division. Another sneaky great fight is, Elijah Flores, a junior middleweight who has sparred Manny Pacquiao, facing Hayward's Damoni Cato-Cain, who has been in camp with Terence Crawford. In terms of the developmental fights, Travon Marshall, Deric Davis, Jordan Roach and Benjamin Johnson are stellar up-and-comers featured on this card.
Saturday on DAZN in the U.K., Olympian Pat McCormack faces veteran Miguel Parra, who had a tough fight with Shakhram Giyasov at the Santa Monica Pier. Notables on this card are the return of Sandy Ryan, and Cameron Vuong
That evening on DAZN, Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez will look to make the first defense of his IBF junior lightweight title against Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz. Nunez won the vacant title earlier this year in a very fun fight. It is strange that Nunez is not getting more publicity.
Also, in Mexico, Oscar Valdez will return to the ring for the first time in 2025 against Richard Medina,
a former Raymond Ford opponent. I am not sure if we can watch it, but it is good to have him back.

Full coverage at http://lukieboxing.substack.com
We took a week off. We are sorry.
This week, we start with the lead, Moses Itauma. He screams of the next generation of British boxing, and facing Dillian Whyte shouldn't be a challenge, right? We talk about what might be at stake. Also, it is on pay-per-view.
The undercard will see WBA featherweight titleholder Nick Ball against Sam Goodman, which is the fight of the weekend on paper. Junior lightweight Raymond Ford will face Abraham Nova, and heavyweight Filip Hrgovic will face David Adeleye.
We talk about the major action of last week, which includes Ricardo Sandoval upsetting Kenshiro Teraji, Carlos Canizales becoming a 108lbs beltholder, and Oscar Duarte winning a close fight against Kenny Sims Jr. We also touch on Regis Prograis' win over Joseph Diaz Jr.
This leads into this week...On Wednesday, the WBC Grand Prix will happen, and it is a lot of fun. Lukie gives some names to follow (spoiler alert: Troy Nash Jr).
On Friday, ProBox TV returns with a junior lightweight bout between Mukhammadkhuja Yaqubov and William Foster III, a quality main event. The co-feature is a WBO junior bantamweight titleholder looking to make another title defense against Naomy Cardenas Gomez. Gomez upset Bree Howling in her last fight. Hiruta trains with Manny Robles and Edgar Jasso. Abel Mejia faces former title contender Aston Palicte at 130lbs and
Guadalupe Medina vs. Rubi Gutierrez is the type of women's 105lbs fight that could steal the show.
