Aphrodite is a 4-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as sweet as her smile! She was one of 6 German Shepherds and one golden retriever, the Centre County Humane officer rescued from a backyard breeder. She, along with the others, had neck wounds from embedded bark collars. The wounds have healed and she's learning how to be a dog. 

She`s 76 lbs of fun and is a loving girl who enjoys the company of her human friends and is ready to find a home where she can continue to thrive. When it comes to other dogs, Aphrodite is selective. She seems to do well with friendly, easy-going dogs.

Aphrodite would do best in a home with kids nine and up. She loves to meet everyone, but her jumpiness may be too much for small children. 

Her sweet and affectionate nature makes her an excellent companion for the right family or individual. If you`re looking for a loving, playful, and easygoing German Shepherd who enjoys cuddles and affection, Aphrodite could be your perfect match!
