Do you sometimes need a lil’ boost when it comes to your mental attitude or your outlook? I mean, we all do! If you don’t I’d love to know your secret!
Today I’m chattin’ it up with my girl Sam Krange-Yamada. She’s a body positivity coach and the co-owner of Big Sky Designs Co, an awesome sticker company with her BFF Ellie.
They have sticker designs from body positive to 80’s movie lines. We’re talking today about how stickers can also be used to infuse positive affirmations into your everyday life.
Fair warning...there’s some giggles, some interrupting, and some searching for the right words to say….

Have you heard of the know, like and trust factor? It’s a popular term in branding and sales and business in general. It’s all about how people need to know who you are, like you to stick around, and then you gotta build up that trust so that they stick around...and let’s be real, eventually buy from you!
Today I’m talking to Laura Rees, a brand strategist who works with small businesses to help them think about their brand as a sales tool instead of just a logo. She works with smart, fun entrepreneurs and business owners, and helps them build brands that sell so they can stop spending so much time hunting for customers and instead create a system that brings customers to them.
Let’s break down the know, like, and trust factor so we can get to the root of each section and really get a plan together for you to move forward with this stuff!

Do you think something like getting a breast cancer diagnosis would turn your world upside down? Of course right?
Do you think some good might come out of it? Maybe. Well, my friend Shelley Crick learned to befriend her body through her battle with cancer.
But the way, Shelley is the happiest, funniest, most whimsical breast cancer survivor I’ve ever met. I mean, who can get diagnosed with breast cancer and still find the humor in the things that other people can’t even imagine going through? Shelley. That’s who. Here’s her story.

Today I’m sharing my favorite Miller/Seymour Holiday traditions! The good news is, they don’t really cost all that much, and they’re pretty easy. Easy and cheap...just how I like ‘em! Haha!
The huge takeaway is this: these traditions and memories can be just tiny little moments. They don’t have to be huge, planned out, perfect moments.
It’s just the day to day stuff that is magical. The things we felt like we screwed up are the things we laugh so hard we cry about later. Those little funny memories are the things that make us ugly cry when Silent Night comes on at Christmas Eve Church. Ya know. Ease up on the pressure and just enjoy your totally screwupable Christmas traditions.

Humans evolve. Ideas change. And honestly, how is a creative human supposed to stick to one podcast idea for half a decade and a ton of episodes? I have no idea.
That’s why Big…
Some episodes might have old ads to products I tried that don’t exist anymore. But for someone who started with a podcast called Imperfect Party, I say eff it.
This audio sketchbook celebrates the mistakes, the pivots, the tears. It’s a journey, and kind of a wild ride. Because no matter what a well oiled sales page tells you, running a business is hard, but it can also be a lot of fun.
If you hear something you want to chat about, I’d genuinely love to hear from you. You can email me anytime at deannaseymour.com.
