Sophie is an NRLW athlete who has played 15 games for the Wests Tigers and represented the Steelers in 2025. She is also studying nutrition and runs and instagram page educating people on how to go about your nutrition as an athlete.

In this engaging conversation, NRLW player Sophie Curtin shares her journey in women's rugby league, discussing the challenges and triumphs of balancing injury rehab, training, and her dietetics studies. She highlights the importance of the evolving policies around pregnancy in the NRLW, and the critical role of nutrition in athlete performance, and in doing so revealed that the NRLW has ways to go in setting up NRLW athletes to perform at their best. Sophie's insights provide a unique perspective on the growth and future of women's rugby league, emphasising the need for better development pathways and resources for female athletes.
