Episode 12 - It's all about the kids..... and not in a Michael Jackson kind of way. The BPG boys are family men and talk about the trials and tribulations of gaming with children and setting them on the right path.

The desert island games discussion is all about those hidden gems thanks to the twitter poll. The boys steer clear of the mainstream and pick out those games that cause a 'nope, never heard of it' reaction. Just when Warren, Andy and Russ thought they knew all about each other's gaming habits, some surprises really come out of left field!

Episode 11 - The reviews for the £5 crap game challenge are in and frustrations are high with 'The Dark Souls of the bread world' not going down well. Although Andy gets lucky with a surprise hit!!

Episode X - Because putting an X instead of 10 just makes it cooler! Well, it worked for Apple.... and the Romans.

This week Andy, Warren and Russ set each other a bad game challenge in a weird twist on secret Santa. With a £5.00 limit they must play and review the biggest piles of steaming horse crap they can find for each other. That'll teach them to do their podcast planning down the pub!

The desert island games go all intellectual this episode with the focus on strategy games. Who would have believed that the boys have actually played games that don't have zombies in them!

Episode 9 - Better late than never! The boys have finally overcome tech issues and Vader's death grip to get a second take of Episode 9 out and it was worth the wait. Well, their Nan's told them it was good and something about it being the taking part that matters.

Andy, Warren and Russ reminisce about the sticky floors and smoke filled atmosphere of childhood Arcades. It turns out that none of them were brave enough to put 50p on the Mortal Kombat machine through fear of getting filled in by the hard kids.

This week's Desert Island Games focuses on the classic genre of the platformers. You'd expect high brow talk of popular cultural icons such as Mario and Sonic but true to form, things descend into toilet humour, mum jokes and boobies!

Episdoe 8 - Not every week is a great gaming week for geeks with the inconvenience of families and jobs. Warren explains why he's had a nightmare with Andy and Russ being as sympathetic as you'd expect.

The boys have multiple confessions of bad gaming mistakes and guilty pleasures. Is Probotector playable on a watch? Is it ok for grown men to collect plastic toys? Will the Guitar Hero band ever get back together? Important questions answered on this week's Big Plate Gaming Podcast!

Episode 7 - In this Easter special Russ reveals that he should never be trusted with free access to the Playstation store with an embarrassing purchase that he should be forever ridiculed for. Warren and Andy try to bring things back on track by talking about those 'WTF!!!' moments in gaming that left them open mouthed with controllers dropped on the floor.

The desert island games is a big one this week with the broad subject of action / adventure games. The boys also discuss Outriders, Last of Us 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands...... and Dizzy Egg!

Episode 6 - Back on schedule with a Saturday release, the boys have the big topical debate of PS5 vs Xbox Series X. It turns out having a big plastic behemoth of a console in your front room is a bigger problem for some than others.....

The desert island games this week features Star Wars games and finding 6 good ones proved tougher than you'd think! There are bloody hundreds of them but be honest with yourself, how many are not total Jar Jar Binks?!

Episode 5 - Better late than never but this week will be a double episode week! Andy, Russ and Warren talk about venturing out into the actual outdoors to meet with like minded nerds and plan their attendance at the next expo when Boris allows mass gatherings of virgins.

The boys also chat about battle royale games and give solid parenting advice around bloody Fortnite. All three accept they are just too old to understand how this genre has become so popular.

Stealth games are the topic of conversation for desert island gaming and it is fair to say you never saw some of these games coming. Do you see what I did there...... stealth...... saw it coming...... oh don't worry about it.

Episode 4 - This week on BPG the tripod is complete as the third member finally makes his debut. Russ reveals that he has just as many issues as Warren and Andy by taking rage quitting to a whole new level.

The boys discuss what they've been playing which as ever mainly consists of freebies and bargains. They talk about Control, Final Fantasy 7 remake and for some reason the PS vita gets a mention?

The big debate is should you stick with it when playing big open world games or are your gaming hours far too precious to waste when the grind begins. Bin it off to start something new or does that make you a quitter? And nobody likes a quitter......

This week Andy and Warren actually played something up to date and talk about the Outriders demo. They also got their £7.99 worth out of Gran Turismo Sport and try to figure out who is more screwed up - Warren and his interest in muscly men or Andy and his fantasies about big busted female characters?
