It's so sad to lose service members the way America did last week and at the same time, it's heartwarming to see how everyday folks remember them. So many great tributes all over the land this past weekend reminds us that most Americans are truly great people.
Now politics, well, that's a different bird. Mayor Q as a councilman and candidate railed against the city doing deals behind closed doors. Now it's reported one of the all time great deals is being done in darkness in KCMO. Of course it is, as what company gets to put all the restaurants in the new KCI is big business for politicians.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs look ready. But does it look like the future for a whole bunch of AFC offenses and their quarterbacks is pretty bright, too? If we thought this was going to be a 15 year cakewalk for KC, we should think again.
Salvador Perez now has more home runs in a season than any other catcher in American League history. So why are some in the local media trying put an asterisk by it? We've got the answer.
And Kansas City native Ed Asner has died at age 91. He's an all time Emmy Award winner and his character was an inspiration for me.
