Big Tent, Bitter Tent, Better Tent | S2 E15
A "big tent" sounds generous—who wouldn't want a church with room for everyone? But what happens when the tent gets so wide the walls fall down? This week the profs walk through the big tent that means well but drifts into compromise, the bitter tent that keeps adding rules until it shrinks to "us four and no more," and the better tent that holds a firm line on doctrine while prioritizing the actual mission. With both the SBC and PCA having their own inclusion discussions, the guys get frank about female ordination, slippery slopes, purity spirals, and why doctrinal fidelity is necessary but never an end in itself—it's what makes the real work possible (Col 1:18).
