Kala was raised in Carlsbad, CA and grew up surfing. She is a DiSTinguised member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Imcorporated and went to college for Political Science. At that time she wanted to be a lawyer through activism.
Thanks to her grandmother who was the first entrepreneur in her family, she started her first business in 5th Grade by selling candy out of her dog shed.
By day she is an Engineer in corporate America, AirBnB Host, and interior designer. By night she is the Co-Founder of the BetternessBox with her business partner and line sister Denise Gilmore.
The BeternessBox is operated out of the Dallas area and its mission is to help all women feel good, look good and spread good vibes.

Kauwuane was born and raised in Texas and discovered his love for the arts while studying at Skyline Magnet High School Dallas, TX. Putting his love for the arts to the side Kauwuane went on to study Finance at Baylor University and chose a career in banking.
When he was gifted a camera by one of his friends, it was at that moment that his passion was reignited, and he never looked back.
Today Kauwuane operates a luxurious full-service media production studio in Irving, Texas with his incredible wife London Burton. Together the two execute media productions seamlessly and are the go-to production studio with many of the top Entrepreneurs in Dallas.
Kauwuane has been blessed to travel with his clients to international destinations and prides himself on his and his wife's top-tier customer service.
