Our Celebrate the Stacks program for the month of October is Horror, so this first episode of the month celebrates the Horror genre. We have a knowledgeable guest this episode too - Dawn Callahan - she loves (and writes) horror fiction. Join us for a great group of books and a deep dive into horror!

We decided to talk about Audio books this week for our second book bag this month. Audio books are an awesome way to get more of your reading done - whether you use Whisper-sync, check out an audio book from your local library, or have a subscription to a service such as Audible or Libro.fm. Amie and Tami have had books by Jacqueline Woodson on their TBR lists for sometime so we decided to pair them this week into one awesome episode all about Brown Girl Dreaming and Red at the Bone. Terrific Reads!

We took a great little drive north of Reno to Chester, California by Lake Almanor. Amie spends a fair amount of time up here soaking up the sun and playing on the lake! She also visits a wonderful bookstore called: B & B Booksellers right on the main drag - join us for a description and to hear about the books we picked up and read!

Ah, the age old debate, "which is better - the book or the movie?" We read a couple of books and watched the movies / shows so that we can address this polarizing question!

In honor of school starting, this week we focus on adult reads. Since many of our high school students are advanced readers, Amie and Tami will discuss over 20 great adult reads that are perfect for teenager readers and adults too.
