Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Monday called on top Republicans to come to the table on the next phase of coronavirus aid after President Donald Trump signed executive actions over the weekend aimed at economic relief that his critics called insufficient. Schumer says the president has not been actively involved in negotiations with Democrats for a new relief bill, despite Trump saying over the weekend he has been in talks with Democrats.

So where could this go? What happens if they all come together to work out the next phase of relief … without necessarily involving President Trump? Is this the most effective way to get it done or will there be even more pushback?
