On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren (SB Nation) for their weekly chat with the focus today on a handful of sneaky positional draft needs for the Buffalo Bills in addition to a handful of interesting potential Buffalo trade up options and where packaging some picks can get them up to.

Cornerback, edge rusher and defensive tackle are three big needs and (very) likely to be addressed early in the draft—possibly even their first three selections. However, there’s other positions on this team that could definitely use some reinforcing with both this season and the future in mind. The guys talk about why tight end could be a little more of a priority than most think despite already having both Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox on the team. Also, an interior lineman doesn’t have a real path to playing time as a rookie but that doesn’t mean a solid mid round prospect can’t become impactful as soon as 2026. They also discuss linebacker, running back and even punter as possiblities.

Also, the Bills currently hold pick 30 in the first round and two in the second, 56 and 62. Buffalo can stay patient and get three guys that fall to them—or Patrick lays out several scenarios using the latest 2025 draft value chart to demonstrate where the Bills can realistically move up for a prospect(s) without necessarily giving up the farm.
