Dr. Rachel Smartt on the Brutiful Journey
Dr. Rachel Smartt is a naturopathic doctor as well as a Presidential Marketing Director (75 Club) with The Juice Plus+ Company. Dr. Smartt’s journey is, as she describes it, “brutiful.” It has been both brutal and beautiful. As you listen to this conversation, you will be taking note after note. Dr. Smartt makes it clear that she doesn’t just happen to be better than most at what she does, she has worked hard to become one of the best at what she does. And key to her effort is that she is very strategic about equipping herself with the tools needed to succeed. Many people question, “If I am working so hard, why am I not experiencing more success?” Dr. Smartt helps us understand that effort alone will not get us where we want to go. We have to be willing to examine ourselves in order to identify where we need to improve and then we need to find or develop the tools that cause us to go from good to great. Ultimately, though, Dr. Smartt’s story and her advice are all about perseverance, staying positive through some of the most challenging seasons of life, and seeing the beauty even in the brutal so that everything can become your unique way to help others.

Jennifer Saval on the Choices That Make Us Rich
Jennifer Saval is a 75 Club Presidential Marketing Director with The Juice Plus+ Company. Jennifer has been awarded three Elton awards, including: 12 Club Rookie of the Year, 24 Club Member of the Year, and 39 Club Member of the Year. In this episode, Jennifer talks to us about the power of choices and the importance of the “why” behind those decisions. She teaches us that “why” leads to “what” and “when,” and that is the journey that has the potential to make us rich. Jennifer defines “rich” in a number of ways; an important one has to do with choosing to live despite all that life throws at us. We are able to do that when we are grounded in a healthy “why” and when we give higher value to our “why” than to what is happening around us and to us. This conversation will challenge you to rethink how you do your business, why you do your business, and the choices you make every day. You will learn to take power back from “no” and to believe that your “What if…?” dreams can come true. Among the choices that can make us rich, learning from Jennifer is certainly one of them.

Victoria Van Duzee on Not Just Letting Life Happen to You
Victoria Van Duzee is the youngest National Marketing Director in the USA. In this episode, Victoria shares her incredible story of how God led her to knock on her neighbor’s door and that led to a life she never imagined she’d be living. Victoria’s story is about someone who does not just let life happen to her. She pursues relationships. She does not allow opportunities to be beyond her grasp. Importantly, she sees in her mind what she wants to accomplish and she goes after it. Along the way, she listens for God’s leading and she is very coachable, but she also embraces the fact that she has a role to play in the outcomes of her life. You will be inspired to hold onto your dreams, to take the extra step, and to do what others might not be willing to do in order to achieve what others might think is impossible. Don’t assume if it has not happened that it must not be meant for you. Believe in the vision and never give up!

Toni Branner on Being the Crazy Plant Lady
Toni Branner is a Presidential Marketing Director with The Juice Plus+ Company. Toni has held a number of other distinguished roles during her 40-year career as “The Crazy Plant Lady.” These include former professor in the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science, as well as former director of the Faculty and Staff Wellness Center at UNC-Chapel Hill. More than anything, you will come away inspired and encouraged to be what some might consider a little crazy. If it’s crazy to believe deeply in our mission and calling, then Toni is all that and more; and she invites us to live in the same way. We have a life-changing message that we should boldly (call it crazy if you want to) share with the world!

Michelle Barnett on Becoming More Than You Can Imagine
Michelle Barnett is a 39 Club Executive Marketing Director with The Juice Plus+ Company. She and her team have been nominated for 12 Club, 24 Club, and 39 Club Member of the Year awards. In this episode, Michelle tells her story about taking leaps of faith. If you listen to nothing else (and you should listen to the entire conversation!), make sure to listen to Michelle’s response to the last question. She tells us that we are meant for more than we can imagine, but it will likely require more than we can imagine to get there. Michelle has experienced challenges and she has made multiple decisions during her journey to do hard things, but every time she has grown through them to a higher place – in her business and in her personal growth. Michelle teaches us that going around or chasing the latest and greatest is likely not the path to abundant life. The key, as James wrote in chapter one verses two through four, is to have a mindset that sees the possibilities and the good in the challenges. And to understand that endurance builds a faith that will mature us into the leaders God desires for us to be.

Kim Douglas on Triumphing Over Our Triggers
Kim Douglas is a National Marketing Director with The Juice Plus+ Company. She is also a wife, a mom of four, a grandmother of four, a former university professor, and the founder and CEO of Write to Unite (www.write2unite.org). In this conversation, Kim talks to us about the higher and lower mindsets. We all encounter triggers every day; the choice is whether to process those triggers through the higher or lower mindset. That choice determines not only how we respond, but also what we value. Our priorities shift if we are living in the lower mindset of fight, flight, or freeze. In the higher mindset that is defined by clarity, faith, trust, peace, conviction of calling, and an others-focused motivation, our priorities remain what we could call “holy” even in the face of challenges and trials. The example of Nehemiah comes to mind. In chapter six verse three, Nehemiah responds to his triggers by saying, “I am doing a great work and will not come down. Why should I leave this [higher level of thinking and operating] to come down to [your lower level of thinking and operating]?” This is what Kim teaches us about in this incredible conversation.

Jamie Herb on the Superpower of Being Coachable
Jamie Herb is a new National Marketing Director with The Juice Plus+ Company. She is also a wife and a mother of four. Jamie’s journey is a great example of the power of being coachable. People do not typically think of the skills of listening, following, and trusting as attributes of a superhero, but in Jamie’s story we learn those are the key attributes to making a difference and enjoying an abundant life. The challenge for each of us is to listen for God’s calling for our lives, to follow those coaches that God sends our way, and to trust that if we stay consistent and do what we are coached to do then wonderful things will happen in and through us. A big thanks to Jamie for sharing her story and helping us see this!
