Happy Thanksgiving! (Or, if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, Happy Thursday!) Somehow after last week’s recording we got on the subject of cookbooks, specifically the “Little House on the Prairie” cookbook that we checked out from the library a dozen times before we got smart and bought our own copies. And that led to a discussion...

This week was one of those Night Vale recaps where we took way too many notes and got dangerously close to just repeating the episode word for word because it was so, freaking, CLEVER. (Station Management’s memo to Cecil about the stupid basement is the best.) We managed to stick to the highlights, but we...

Episodes 217 and 218 of Lore Olympus didn’t answer a ton of questions, and by that I mean we STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT APOLLO IS UP TO. Okay, yes, we got some good information about how Kronos was able to take over the Underworld. And we find out what happened to get Thanatos AND Thetis...

We joke about how Lore Olympus moves at a glacial pace, but we sometimes forget that the story jumped forward TEN ENTIRE YEARS and now the pieces need to be filled in. So, minor spoiler warnings for episodes 215 and 216, because we got a lot of backstory for Kronos and Thanatos, but we still...

Ten years ago we loved it every time Cecil on Welcome to Night Vale ranted about how much he hated his stupid brother-in-law STEVE CARLSBERG. If you’d told us back then that, come 2022, we’d be 100% on Steve’s side, we’d have told you that’s about as likely as Hollywood greenlighting a Sandman series. Funny...

So what’s Apollo up to? How is Demeter going to mess things up for Hades and Persephone? Did Aphrodite get married to Hephaestus when she threw over Ares, or someone else? And where’s Psyche been this entire time that the mortal realm was cut off from Olympus? You’d think we’d be happy with the story...

“There’s so much pathos here about a ROCK.” The only thing we’ve got to say about this week’s Night Vale episode is Doctor Lubelle MUST BE STOPPED. (Also watch out for the murals. They’re probably fine. But let’s just evacuate the area anyway.) After we finish spoiling the heck out of that episode, we switch...

…and she was one of those women where you wake up the next morning and your TV and your stereo and your bag of magic sand is gone. So Kathryn has finally watched another episode of The Sandman (Elizabeth: I’ve watched a bunch more.) (Kathryn: Yeah, thanks, I know that.) so this week we’re going...

This week we’re spoiling all the things about Lore Olympus episodes 209 and 210, but if you want the short non-spoiler version: Hades and Persephone are freaking adorable. You already knew that. When are they not adorable? Also if we could please find out what Demeter’s going to do to mess it up that’d be...

It’s no secret that the Binary System Podcast team is always finding moments that would be perfect for fan art (we do love us some fan art). This week’s episode felt like the Welcome To Night Vale writers were throwing down multiple challenges to fan artists. Listen in as we recap the City Council’s latest...
