Binary System Podcast

Springtime! The days are getting longer, the weather’s getting warmer, and everyone’s flocking to the Little League tryouts. At the Haunted Baseball Field. With a youth coach who died at least a century ago and who talks like Dracula. Play ball!

Listen in as the twins recap Welcome To Night Vale episode 84: Past Time, and then give a (spoiler-free) look at the first couple episodes of the new season of Daredevil, speculate some more on The Walking Dead‘s upcoming bloodbath, and explain why iZombie is not as bad as you think.Read OnBinary System Podcast #29 – WTNV Episode #84 “Past Time”

Joseph Fink of Welcome To Night Vale has started a new podcast (no he hasn’t quit the old one, the man apparently doesn’t sleep) so of course the twins had to recap it. Listen in as they break down the first episode of Alice Isn’t Dead. And then they speculate all over the place about the upcoming season finale of The Walking Dead, because why not.Read OnBinary System Podcast #28 – Recapping “Alice Isn’t Dead: The Omelet”

Dude! Did you hear the news? Desert Bluffs is no more! I don’t even know how to process this information, I think I need to lie down…

When we’ve recovered, this week the twins recap the latest developments in Night Vale. We also talk about Kathryn’s trip to Hawk Manor Falconry (so fun!), the new podcast “Alice Isn’t Dead” by the Night Vale creative team (so intriguing!), and Elizabeth’s thoughts on finally finishing the entire first season of “Jessica Jones” (AAAAAAAAAA!)Read OnBinary System Podcast #27 – WTNV Episode #83 “One Normal Town”

Normally we’d be recording a Welcome To Night Vale recap tonight (that pesky three-hour time difference between East and West coast means Sundays and Mondays are the best days for recording), but Leap Year pushed March 1 back to a Tuesday, so we’ll have to put off our regular episode until next week. Damn you, February 29, you win this round!

FINE. We’ll just jump from one random thought to another, chasing the thread from the Oscars, to Lucifer, Labyrinth, falconry, Deadpool, and more. So THERE.Read OnBinary System Podcast #26 – Ramble all the Ramblings

What do horrifying growls, unexplained power-outages, and two collections of indescribable figures coming together mean? Why it must be the grand opening of the new Skating Rink at the Desert Flower Bowling Alley and Arcade Fun Complex! And it’s adorable.

There’s also some discussion of the new Lucifer show, Jessica Jones, the return of The Walking Dead, and the continuing Pixelated Geek coverage of the Academy Awards.Read OnBinary System Podcast #25 – WTNV #82 “Skating Rink”

There’s a really interesting lecture going on at Night Vale’s Museum of Forbidden Technologies (which Elizabeth and Kathryn will now refer to as “MOFT”, because we’re easy to amuse.) Unfortunately the lecturer has removed his burlap sack and disabled the white noise generator, so museum patrons can actually hear the forbidden technologies he’s talking about. That’s…not good.Read OnBinary System Podcast #24 – WTNV Episode #81 “After 3327”

This week Jada and Elizabeth had a chance to see all of the films that have been nominated for Best Animated Short, and they recorded the post-viewing debriefing as a bonus podcast, part of a month of Oscars® coverage from PixelatedGeek.com.

Listen in as Jada and Elizabeth discuss their choices for Best Animated Short!Read OnAcademy Awards 2016: Animation Shorts

It’s another week and still no Night Vale, but that’s okay because we’ve got X-Files! The twins break down the first episode of the new X-Files series, with all the conspiracies, explosions, and the complete lack of anybody making out with anybody else. But they get away from that for a bit to talk about Twin Peaks (because David Duchovny’s in that) and Top Gear (because Gillian Anderson’s in that) so really, they didn’t get very far away at all.Read OnBinary System Podcast #23 – Return of The X-Files

The twins have both finally seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens and SPOILERS! Holy cow the SPOILERS ALL OVER THE PLACE. For this and for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride. (Hey, if you’re gonna spoil things, spoil all the things.)Read OnBinary System Podcast #22 – Spoilerific Star Wars (and Sherlock)

Without a Night Vale episode this week, we set off to do a short podcast about what we’ve got coming up for January. It quickly spiraled into a discussion about X-Files, book authors, spoiler warnings, fan fiction, Warehouse 13, Mission Impossible, Doctor Who, and Star Wars. Of course. (Kathryn hasn’t seen Force Awakens yet so we’re still SPOILER FREE.)Read OnBinary System Podcast #21 – New year, out of control already
