This week saw the return of the Walking Dead for another season, opinions are all over the place so i am joined by the one and only Jim Law as we give our thoughts on what went down and if it lived up to the hype and speculate where this season is going besides giving us at least 4 episodes of emo rick. 0:02:30-Law and Pete MC are on the scene. Pete gives details about how the gears turn in the sounder lab, and how OH HAI Denny Louie helped with the Halloween sounder that opened the show. What drinks are the boys drinking? Do you care? You fucking should. Pete talks about how The Kicks got some shows in Bah-ston in March 2017. You should hit up "The Town" (get it? Shut up) and check them out.

0:34:51-TV ROUND UP. Law questions if he can play "Spoil the Walking Dead" in the upcoming weeks as Season 7 has recently begun. Ammon butts in with AHS and gets down on his knees, pleading with Law and Pete that they gotta watch it. Another spectacular This is Us update by Mr. Gilbert. High Life continues on with Luke Cage. Westworld of course. Black Mirror is back and those three cocksuckers couldn't be happier. Atlanta is still great. Shift to South Park. Ash Vs. Evil Dead talk. Law moves on to Goliath which is the springboard for a major tangent, something that takes up at least an hour of recording time, if not more. The Canadian rights the course with Divorce. Nearly two hours of TV Round Up. Gotta be in the Guinness Book of World Records or something now.

3:58:21-WHAT DID YOU WATCH? Ammon begins things off with Burying the Ex, revisits of Sleepy Hollow, original Night of the Living Dead, and American Werewolf in London. Pete went back into the Halloween move vault with Trick R' Treat, The Shining, The Exorcist, Halloween 1 and 2 (with old show commentaries!), Monster Squad, and Toy Story of Terror. Small tangent where Pete talks about his new gig that isn't band related. Good luck with that sir! Law checked out Bad Moms and Mr. Church. The three band together to dissect Don't Breathe. Moreno calls in to help out with thoughts on the movie. Show's over. That's it. Get out of here.

Welcome to part three of our five part look at the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. I am once again joined by the one and only Super Marcey, and together we will one by one break down each film of the series that built New Line Cinema from the ground up.

Tonight we look at two sequels that are not remembered too fondly by fans. With Freddy Krueger officially considered a juggernaut, New Line kept pumping out stories that featured everybody's favorite pizza face delivering horrible one liners and riding a broom like the Wicked Witch of the West. Oh, and occasionally killing a teenager or two.

But what made Freddy so scary was the fact we DIDNT see him. And after being established by Part 4 director Renny Harlin as 'the hero of the story,' executives behind Parts 5 and 6 created a story about a teenage mom and a Twin Peaks tribute which takes place in Freddy World. And did I mention the latter film only features two kills?? Not exactly the stuff of nightmares.

Will Marcey and I agree on these two highly derided Nightmare sequels? Or will I be involved in yet another fight about film taste? Listen to find out!

This past weekend I was asked by a good friend of mine to tag along for a music fest in Columbia, Missouri.  My first thought was, Columbia, Missouri?  Really?  After looking at the lineup, I shot off a "yes!" reply without even checking if I was available.  Thing was, due to the lineup, I was going to make myself available.  There were at least a handful of bands that I definitely wanted to see, and a couple of others that I wouldn't mind seeing.  No biggie, right?

By the time we arrived on site, I was given press credentials.  A total surprise.  I've attended a ton of music and film festivals, working as either press or spectator.  Whatever the case, I was going to write about this on Binge or for my own personal journals.  The addition of the press pass gave us access to a sectioned off VIP section at the front of the stage and way in the back of the festival grounds.  Back there, you had hay stacks and chairs and sofas to sit on with a pretty unobstructive view of the stage.  Not to mention the food that came with it.  Make no mistake, Columbia, Missouri gets down on food.

But the VIP section, immediately behind the photog pit, was only about 15 feet from the stage.  And that's the kind of thing that makes you question your objectivity.  Because you're so close to the action, does that make you forgive a bad set?  Does it make you love the set more solely because you're that close?

Well, that's what we get into on this day by day snapshot of the Roots N Blues N BBQ Fest.  There were of course some highs and lows but for the most part, the festival delivered in many different ways.  But ultimately, it delivered in the way of a goddamn chicken biscuit sandwich with a fried egg smothered in southern gravy.  Now THAT is where I become biased.

Welcome back to Prime Time, bitches! After finishing off some Godfather business last week, it is time to continue the Aftertaste's Halloween themed retrospective by diving back into the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

After hitting pay dirt with A Nightmare on Elm Streets 1 and 2, New Line Cinema knew they had an excuse to print money on their hands. But the mixed response to Part 2 made them realize that if they continued stories involving the character of Freddy Krueger, they should probably turn back to his creator.

Enter Wes Craven, who along with Bruce Wagner (creator of the Oliver Stone produced 90s TV show Wild Palms) turned in a script which New Line deemed too fantastical to film. After a script polish by a young Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Walking Dead), the resulting film ended up being among the most well received of the Elm Street films.

Join the returning Super Marcey and me on a journey to find out if we do in fact agree. And then continue to listen as we dissect the Craven endorsed Renny Harlin sequel A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 4: The Dream Master. This episode of Small Screen Heroes is the first our classic superhero tv show commentaries where we spotlight some of great and not so great episodes of shows we've all grown up with and love dearly.

So this week I recruit Episode 4 as we put on our  respective cowls and spandex (i'm definitely Batman, he's Robin) and watch some episodes of the classic Adam West Batman series, specifically episodes 5 and 6 of the first season entitled the Joker is wild and Batman is riled. These episodes are huge because of their the first episodes of Cesar Romero as the Joker, so strap on your utility belts, get turbines to speed, tell Aunt Harriet to  go suck a ba-ba-dick and enjoy the ride.
