Friday the 13th is, without a doubt, one of the most notorious movie series of all time. When it made its initial run in the 80s, the movies not only drew the ire of parent/teacher groups around the world. It also was the red headed stepchild in the eyes of Paramount executives. How did the series develop from its inception all the way to the modern day? That is the question myself, Matthew Goudreau, and Mik Duffy will explore in this podcast series.

Who would have thought after putting out an ad proclaiming that the 'scariest movie ever made' was being filmed in 1979, that from 1980 there would be one of the longest and prolific franchises in motion picture history. Sean Cunningham sure didn't think so, as his little Halloween rip-off has currently spawned 10 sequels, one remake, a video game, and everything else in between. So what do you say we go back to how it all started?

Join Matt, Mik, and myself as this series gets started with a bang, and we review the first two films of the Friday the 13th horror series. We also answer the question, how the hell could a 90 lb woman in her 50s throw a dead body through a window? Ok, we don't. But we sure as hell do a nice job of wondering that out loud!

In between all of this, Batch reviews Jay and Silent Bob reboot, Logan finds a goddamn way to talk about Spider-Man (big shock) and the two discuss the nerdgasm that will be Crisis on Infinite Earths. It's Halloween Week and the guys get together to drink some drinks, bitch about their teams, and make some picks.

 

After PJ discusses his favorite football viewing in years, discussions begin about the NCAAs decision to allow for players to make money from their likeness, but how will that be regulated?  How will the NCAA monitor booster bribery?  Does it matter?

 

NFL Week 8 is discussed, but what did any of this weeks game prove?  Too many injuries, too many bad decisions, and teams not playing to their so called potential.  Tickets to the QB Carousel are handed out and the guys discuss Andy Dalton' ability against himself.  Then TM steals PJs picks.
