  • 62. Red Light Therapy With Dr. Mike Belkowski
On today's episode we are talking about a critical aspect of circadian biology, which is light. We have Dr. Mike Belkowski, the founder of BioLight, here to teach us all about red light therapy. This is one of my favorite biohacking subjects, so I really enjoyed "nerding-out" with Dr. Belkowski. I really hope that you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we enjoyed recording it.
Dr. Mike Belkowski, CEO of BioLight, specializes in dry needling, cupping, blood flow restriction training, Mulligan joint mobilizations and, yes, red light therapy to help his patients achieve pain reduction and recovery as effectively and efficiently as possible. Dr. Belkowski is a voracious reader and is constantly questioning the status quo, especially in the health and wellness sector. He loves to synthesize all of the information from the vast amount of books and research articles he reads and put it to practical use.
If you feel inspired to grab a BioLight for your red light therapy at home after this episode, you can use code "biocurious" to get 10% off of one. You will find the link below.
    On this episode we discuss:
Dr. Belkowski's background and how he got started in his field of work
How red light therapy drives down inflammation and improves circulation
The synergy between dry needling, cupping, and red light therapy for pain reduction
Why red light therapy works to help stimulate tissue healing
The importance of maintaining mitochondrial health
Macular degeneration and how red light can help prevent it
The pairing of red light therapy and stem cell treatments, and why this is beneficial
The types of wavelengths involved with light therapy and what to look for
The concern with light flickering from LED's and the effect on the brain
Why buying a low EMF light panel is important
The ideal treatment time and duration
The harmful long-term effects of artificial blue light
    The benefits of natural sunlight
The difference between at home red light panels, and infrared saunas

This week we are lucky enough to have a brilliant infection disease doctor on the podcast, Dr. Sary Beidas, to discuss the pathology and treatment options for Covid-19. So far I've really only shared information on the epidemiology and public health science aspects of the outbreak, but I haven't gone into detail on current and potential treatments (as it's not my area of expertise). I have been receiving a lot of questions about the current and potential Covid-19 treatments, so I thought it was best to have an expert inform us on these topics. Dr. Saudi Beidas, who is one of the leading infectious doctos in the U.S. was gracious enough to offer his time to provide us with the medical perspective on Covid-19. I'm very grateful for the insight he shared, as I learned a lot from this conversation and I think you will as well!
Dr. Sary Beidas, MD is an infectious disease specialist in Orange Park, FL and has been practicing for 30 years. He graduated from Fac Med U Jordan, Amman in 1983 and specializes in infectious disease medicine.

How Covid-19 presents itself, and how it spreads through the population
Treatment methods that are currently being used and researched
How Covid-19 differs from the flu
Why losing your sense of taste and smell could be an early sign you have contracted Covid-19
How to measure the oxygen saturation in your lungs using a pulse oximeter
Remdesivir, Zithromax, Hydroxychloroquine: their risks and potential in treating Covid-19
Why heart problems may put you at higher risk of developing more severe viral symptoms
How safety issues can arise when scaling up drug or vaccine trials
The correlation between smoking and a higher mortality rate from Covid-19
Why behavioral and lifestyle changes are critical to maintaining a healthy immune system
The time that Covid-19 can survive on various surfaces
Preventative measures you can take to keep yourself and others safe
Some alternative treatments that MAY be effective for treating Covid-19 (do your own research)
Why NSAID's could potentially make things worse when using as a treatment for Covid-19

          • 53. Quantum Biomechanics With Dr. Scott Levine
Dr. Scott Levine uses ancient wisdom, science and biohacking technology to help patients heal. A chiropractor for 24 years he combines sound, color, smell, energy and many other modalities to help shift his patients from survival to thrive. He does what he calls a blank page intake, where he knows nothing about you and by tapping into the quantum field begins to unravel stressors since childhood. His purpose to heal humanity has inspired him to create other healing modalities including www.zeroone.xyz and www.thehealroom.com
In this episode, Dr. Levine teaches us how he combines quantum biology, energetics, kinesiology, and body mechanics to supercharge healing. A gifted doctor and healer, he is trained in both conventional medicine and a host of other esoteric healing methods, which he combines to provide a unique, holistic healing experience.
            On this episode we discuss:
Dr. Levine's early history and initial experience with applied kinesiology
How the power of muscle testing is in the intention of the question you are asking
How he has applied his knowledge of quantum physics into his everyday practice
An explanation of retained primal reflexes and how those relate to muscle testing
Why muscle testing results can be impacted by belief systems and generate false positives
Why probiotics should be taken at night before bed, on an empty stomach
How self-love drives healthy choices, and why it's so critical
Real events versus the thoughts about those events, and why your body responds the same regardless
The story behind the ZeroOne logo and app
The power of prayer to affect healing down to the cellular level
How to use tuning forks to entrain brain frequencies for better sleep
Why color and sound can shift someone into a parasympathetic (relaxed) state
            Dr. Levine's morning routine
Why you may have to try meditating for up to an hour in order to see the most benefits
